Sir Peter Blake regatta information
Sir Peter Blake Regatta takes place on weekend of 5 and 6th December. Entries close 1 December. Click HERE for Notice of Race or HERE to Enter the regatta.
Believed to be the largest multi-class 2 day regatta in the southern hemisphere, the Sir Peter Blake Regatta is back for 2020
For many, it's the first major regatta they have sailed in and that's highlighted by the fact the Optimist Green fleet is usually the largest of all the classes.
Close to 500 sailors are expected this year, which is a big jump from the first Sir Peter Blake Regatta, which started in 2002 with about 70 entrants.
The event will take place at the Torbay Sailing Club from 5 to 6 December.
There will be heaps of prizes to be given away. You must be at the regatta to receive these.
Many sailors will be hoping to get their name on the Sir Peter Blake Memorial Trophy, which is awarded for outstanding achievement throughout the weekend.
This year, event updates will be posted and sent using Team App, which can be found on the App Store and Google Play. In order to receive notifications, you must sign up and request to join the team by searching for "Sir Peter Blake Regatta" and tapping the banner on the home page. This will also be used as the regatta's official noticeboard.
